I was raised with regular walks and hiking, to the point that I dreaded another “long hike” up in Rocky Mountain National Park – my parents’ favorite spot. Eventually I came to appreciate the hikes and began exploring on my own, hiking and snow shoeing backcountry in Hidden Valley, exploring the cliffs of Montara, and rediscovering childhood favorites like Hanging Lake.

My hiking got a real boost when I worked for Outward Bound in Bermuda one summer during college and as a part time employee of REI I haven’t slowed down a bit in recent years! Check out the guides, maps, and images we’ve got here and be sure to comment, rate and add your own!
